We're optimistic about AI and we believe it should create an era of prosperity for all people, if wielded smartly. But we also believe that achieving that optimistic vision requires time-sensitive, war-room level intensity.
A new revolution is underway. Automation use-cases, primarily in research and content creation, are the dominant stories we hear today. Will these create abundance and fulfill people's higher-order, self actualizing needs?
We know that many smart people are focusing on the future of AI. We're not the first to consider use-cases that put humans in the loop. In our team, we believe AI use-cases are misunderstood (and under-realized) if people are relegated to a final signoff or quality check. AI capabilities present an opportunity for a completely new era of work, and its an era that can be continously defined and redefined *by people* if the right system exists. In that system, people are the most impressive capability of AI.
We formed Ofus to put effort into building the future, of us. We're writers, artists, engineers, parents, siblings, people. We believe in a prosperous future and are doing the work not for pay (we are not even a business at this stage) but for conviction.
